Mrs. Thompson’s 6th Grade Enrichment group has been busy expanding their minds and their hearts!

The boys just finished reading "Christmas Spurs" by Bill Wallace. During their study, they dove deep into literary analysis, focusing on identifying themes and using text evidence to make inferences.

To put those themes of kindness and perseverance into action, the group organized a special service project. The boys created handmade Christmas cards for children in the St. Francis cancer ward. Additionally, they are each gifting a copy of their own favorite book to a child currently undergoing cancer treatment, hoping to share the comfort of a good story.

We are so proud of these young men for combining academic excellence with community service!
