The Pryor High School Library just celebrated an exciting new addition—the grand opening of the Tiger Boutique!

More than just a space for books, the PHS Library has evolved into a dynamic hub for student engagement. Under the leadership of Librarian Sheri Henning and Assistant Marshel Morrison, students have played an active role in creating exhibits and spaces that reflect their interests. The latest addition, the Tiger Boutique, brings a unique thrifting experience right to campus.

Morrison, in partnership with Oklahoma Home and Community Education, transformed an underutilized library room into a boutique, providing students with access to a variety of donated items, including clothing, coats, shoes, food, and personal care products. The boutique even offers prom dresses at no cost for students looking for formal wear.

The Tiger Boutique is open to all students, serving as a valuable resource for those who may need clothing throughout the school day. “If anyone is dress-coded, they can come and get appropriate clothing to wear. If a student spills a drink on their clothes, gets caught in the rain, or finds their outfit accidentally soiled, we have clean, dry options available,” Morrison explained.

To celebrate the grand opening, PHS Culinary students partnered with the library to prepare freshly baked cookies for a come-and-go reception, making the event even more special for those in attendance.

Beyond the boutique, the PHS Library continues to create a welcoming space with engaging activities like hobby displays, board game stations, and eye-catching literature centers. These initiatives not only support student needs but also foster a sense of community where students can learn, socialize, and express themselves in meaningful ways.

With the Tiger Boutique, Pryor High School has once again demonstrated its commitment to student well-being—one thrifted item at a time.
