Our Cherokee Language Tigers brought home 3rd place in Division 4: 9-12th grade at the Cherokee Challenge Bowl that was held at Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah.

Pryor Student Council is challenging Claremore High School to a community-wide canned food drive competition! All canned goods collected in Pryor will benefit the Pryor Ministry Center following Friday’s game.
Tiger families, students, staff, and community members can help by bringing canned goods to the Pryor High School front office by Friday, October 30. A Student Council member will help move donations to the collection room.
The totals will be tallied that day, and the winning school will be announced at halftime during our football game against Claremore that night!

School bus safety calls for teamwork!
During National School Bus Safety Week, we’re reminding our Tiger Community that keeping students safe on their ride to and from school takes all of us.
• Students: Stay back from the curb and wait until the bus comes to a complete stop before approaching.
• Parents and guardians: Review bus safety rules with your children and supervise young children at the bus stop.
• Drivers: Stay alert and watch for children around school buses and bus stops.
Let’s work together to make every trip a safe one—this week and every week! 💙💛

After countless hours of practicing the audition music for the last month, the day finally arrived for All-District Honor Choir auditions.
We are so very proud of all Pryor students who auditioned and gave it 100% effort.
Congratulations to those that made this Honor Choir this year!
Johnson O’Malley Indian Education Committee Election
The Johnson O’Malley Indian Education Committee Election will be held on October 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Elementary Library.
The Johnson O’Malley (JOM) Program provides supplemental and/or operational support to public schools serving eligible JOM students from age 3 through grade 12. The program supports student achievement and encourages cultural enrichment opportunities.

The National Guard came to visit our Tigers in their English classrooms to talk about the benefits of training one weekend a month and two weeks a year. Representatives talked about their basic training experience and how the National Guard offers several opportunities, including positions in an office environment.
A YAHL youth field organizer visited the PHS chapter.
The students gathered in Mrs. Rash’s classroom for a Youth Action for Health Leadership meeting. These Tigers are working to make healthy choices easier for their peers, including discouraging vaping and smoking and exploring healthier options at concession stands.
We’re proud to see our students taking the lead in caring for their school community!

It's a Pryor tradition to have a week of dress-up days celebrating HOCO, and this year, Tigers from across the District teamed up to choose dress-up day themes that work for all our Tigers.
