Twelve Pryor Public Schools teachers participated in the District Learning Cohort during the 2025–2026 school year, engaging in professional development designed to support educators as they grow in their roles.
The cohort was created to meet the needs of teachers who are new to the profession, as well as those who have made a significant change in their teaching assignment. Through customized training and collaboration, participants strengthened their skills while building meaningful connections with colleagues across the district.
Over the course of the year, the group, along with Pryor Instructional Coaches, met for six days, participating in whole-group learning activities and observation opportunities. During these visits, teachers spent time in the classrooms of fellow educators serving in similar roles, allowing them to see strategies in action and learn from one another in a practical setting.
This type of professional development goes beyond theory. It gives teachers the chance to apply ideas in real-world classrooms, reflect on their practice, and develop relationships with coworkers throughout the district. By creating those connections, the District Learning Cohort helps educators build a strong foundation for long-term success at Pryor Public Schools.
