It wasn’t just any Thursday.
On February 19, Mrs. Clark’s Culinary Class turned the kitchen into an “Iron Chef” Cookoff—a timed, class competition where students took the lead to create a culinary masterpiece using limited ingredients.
With the clock running, cutting boards in constant use, and delicious aromas rising from sizzling skillets, teams worked quickly to plan, prep, and plate their best dishes. When time was called, students presented their creations to a panel of judges.
Assistant Superintendent John Potter joined faculty and staff members to taste test and score each dish based on taste, texture, and presentation. After careful deliberation, judges announced the top teams.

Next Up: Regional Kitchen Contest at Pryor
The excitement doesn’t stop there. On Monday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m., Pryor Public Schools’ food service partner, OPAA!, will host a regional kitchen contest right here in Pryor.
Guests from across the region will cook in our production kitchen and set up themed displays as they compete—bringing energy, creativity, and professional-level presentation to campus.
This event is also a great opportunity for our Tigers as the district expands culinary learning with a new opportunity for junior chefs, giving students even more chances to learn real-world skills while living the chef life at Pryor High School.
