Pryor Public Schools was proud to co-host the 6th Annual Mayes County Career Expo alongside the Pryor Area Chamber of Commerce and MidAmerica Industrial Park. The event brought together leading employers from across the area to meet with high school seniors, answering questions, sharing demonstrations, and offering a valuable glimpse into the opportunities waiting beyond graduation.
Providing hands-on conversations and career-focused guidance, the Expo gave students a chance to explore pathways that match their interests, strengths, and goals.
A Strong Turnout and Big Impact
This year’s Career Expo was a major success, featuring:
500+ high school seniors exploring future career options
25 local vendors representing a wide range of industries and postsecondary opportunities
Students had the chance to learn about in-demand job fields, ask real-world questions about training and education, and begin envisioning what life after high school could look like, whether that includes college, career tech, military service, or entering the workforce.
Exciting Giveaways for Students
In addition to career exploration, the event included exciting door prizes. Four students won 50" flat-screen TVs, and many others took home additional giveaways and prizes throughout the day.
Proud to Be Part of the Tradition
The Pryor High School Innovation Center is proud to support this annual tradition and help create meaningful connections between students and the people shaping Mayes County’s workforce future.
We’re grateful to our partners and participating vendors for investing time and energy into students. We can’t wait to see where these seniors go next.
