It was smiles all around in the South Commons as the Pryor High School 2026 Teacher of the Year banner was unfurled—revealing this year’s honoree, Mrs. Tami Rowland.
Rowland, known by her colleagues for “wearing many hats and juggling it with grace,” was elected by her fellow faculty members to represent Pryor High School in the Pryor Public Schools District Teacher of the Year selection process.
Co-workers describe Rowland as thoughtful, caring, and organized—a teacher who stays positive and helps promote a strong, encouraging culture for both students and staff. In faculty nominations, staff shared that Rowland “has worked tirelessly to build the aviation program” and also sponsors Student Council (STUCO), providing students meaningful opportunities to grow their leadership skills.
Staff members also noted that Rowland devotes time to students beyond the classroom. They shared that she truly listens, has a gift for making others feel comfortable and welcome, and remains committed to excellence by holding students to high academic standards.
Mrs. Rowland’s impact reaches across campus, and her fellow teachers agree—she is a true gift to Pryor High School. Congratulations to Mrs. Tami Rowland, PHS 2026 Teacher of the Year!
