team with trophy

Pryor High School’s Pom Squad recently took the national stage in Orlando, Florida—and brought home hardware.

Earlier this month, the Pryor POMS team traveled to compete in the 2026 National Dance Team Championship (NDTC), hosted by UDA, marking their third consecutive year competing in the Varsity Intermediate Division II Hip Hop category.

A total of 27 teams entered the division and were split into Group A and Group B for Friday’s preliminary round. Pryor delivered a standout performance, earning the highest score in Group B. That top placement automatically advanced the Tigers to finals, allowing them to skip Saturday’s semi-final round.

On Sunday, Pryor returned to the floor to compete against the top eight teams in the category.

When the final results were announced, Pryor POMS secured an impressive 2nd-place finish, bringing home the silver medal in the 5A Hip Hop division.

Their success reflects months of discipline, teamwork, and determination—and the Tigers have once again proven they can compete with the best at the national level.
