Parents and community members are invited to a special celebration event in honor of Roosevelt Elementary's recent accomplishment--designation as a Legacy School by Franklin Covey's Leader in Me program. The celebration assembly will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. in the AVRA Performing Arts Center, located at the high school campus, 1100 SE 9th Street, Pryor.
Roosevelt's leadership journey began in 2010, when the entire Pryor District, took its first steps toward embedding leadership principles in education. A major milestone in this effort came in 2015 when Roosevelt became the first school in Oklahoma to achieve Lighthouse status. Now, as a Legacy School, Roosevelt continues to build upon this foundation by unleashing the full potential of students, staff, families, and the community.
Leader in Me describes a Legacy School as one that exemplifies a strong leadership culture, inspiring everyone involved to reach their highest potential. This recognition speaks volumes about the commitment and collaboration within the Roosevelt community.
Achieving Legacy status would not have been possible without the support of Roosevelt's parents. Their involvement has been instrumental in fostering a thriving leadership culture that extends beyond the classroom.
