Lincoln Elementary students are in for a treat this year. Principal Dr. Wilkins and her staff have been working this summer to prepare for the introduction of a transformative house system inspired by the 7 Habits of Leader in Me.
This innovative approach will place students into one of eight houses, each embodying a specific habit. The aim in doing so is to foster a greater sense of belonging and community among students and faculty alike.
Why the House System?
Enhanced Belonging: Each house will serve as a close-knit family within our school, providing a supportive environment where every student feels valued and included.
Leadership and Responsibility: By aligning with the 7 Habits, students will have the opportunity to develop essential life skills and leadership qualities in a fun and engaging way.
Positive Competition: Friendly competitions and collaborative projects will motivate students to work together, celebrate their successes, and learn from each other.
School Spirit: The house system will ignite school spirit, creating lasting memories and traditions that students will cherish throughout their educational journey.
